The Punjab Wildlife (Protection, Preservation, Conservation and Management) Act, 1974 comprises four schedules.
First Schedule has two parts. The Part-I of the First Schedule specifies the name of species which can be hunted on an ordinary shooting license. The Part-II of the First Schedule specifies the name of species for which a special hunting permit is required.
The Second Schedule lists down the details of animals, trophies or meat for the possession, transfer or export of which a certificate of lawful possession is required.
The Third Schedule deals with wild birds and animals which are protected throughout the year.
The Fourth Schedule deals with wild birds and animals which are not protected.
