The Times Institute, Multan Act 2020
The Times Institute, Multan Act was enacted on 22 Sep 2020 by Provincial Assembly of Punjab and consists of 6 chapters and 31 sections. Under The Times Institute, Multan Act 2020, the Government shall, by notification, establish an Institute to be called Times Institute with its campus located at Multan. The Institute shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal with power to acquire, hold and dispose of property and shall, by the said name, sue and be sued. The Institute shall consist of the Chancellor, Chairman and members of the Board, Rector, Chairpersons and Deans, members of an Authority, teachers and the students of the Institute, and officers and members of the staff of the Institute. The Act lays provisions for establishment of institute and its functions. It also highlights the hierarchy of the officers at the institute. Apart from this the matters related to authorities and finance of the said institute are also dealt with under the given provisions of this act. Whereas the jurisdiction of the Institute shall be restricted to the Province of the Punjab. The Institute shall not open any sub-campus for a period of ten years from the commencement of the Act after which period it may open a sub-campus with the approval of the Chancellor.
