The Interconnection Disputes Resolution Regulations, 2004 are made by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority under Clause (o) of Sub-section (2) of Section 5 of the Pakistan Telecommunication (Re-organization) Act, 1996. The Interconnection Disputes Resolution Regulations, 2004 are designed to govern the relationships between different telecommunications service providers, ensuring fair and effective interconnection of their networks. Interconnection refers to the linking of different networks to enable customers of one network to communicate with customers of another network. The Regulations provide the dispute resolution mechanisms between providers of different services for ensuring the quality of standard service provision to the consumers.
