Fatal Accidents was enacted to provide compensation to families for loss occasioned by the death of person caused by actionable wrong. The purpose of this act is to provide the compensation to the descendants of the deceased who lost his life due to the careless driving of the wrong-doer. The Fatal Accidents Act 1846, commonly known as Lord Campbell’s Act, was enacted for the first time in Engl and and Wales which allowed the relatives of people, who were killed by the wrongdoing of others, to recover damages.
