The Right of Access to Information Rules, 2019
The Right of Access to Information Rules, 2019 were made in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 26 of The Right of Access to Information Act, 2017. The rules lay down the procedure for disposal of information; maintenance, indexation and computerization of records. The circumstances in which an appeal to the Information Commission can be made are given in The Right of Access to Information Rules, 2019. The rules require each public body to make a bi-annual report and the information required to be included therein. The rules were published in Extraordinary gazette of Pakistan dated 18/05/2020 at pages Nos. 1145 – 1146.
