Insurance Rules, 2002
The Federal Government enacted the Insurance Rules, 2002 in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-Section (1) of Section 167 of the Insurance Ordinance, 2000 (XXXIX of 2000). Sub-section (6) of Section 4 of the Insurance Ordinance, 2002 provides the restricted classes of insurance business for these Rules. These Rules define procedure of registration of insurance agents, statement and declaration required from insurance agents, requirements for insurance broker’s license, classes of insurance surveyors, conditions for licensing of insurance surveyors and authorized surveying officers and their registration.
